Love in Action: Why Small Grants Can Create Big Change

Big change does not always begin with a large organization, a major campaign, or a massive budget.

Sometimes, it begins with one person who sees a need, has an idea, and decides to act.

At Let’s Choose Love, we believe ordinary people can create extraordinary impact when they are given the opportunity, encouragement, and resources to bring their ideas to life. That is the purpose behind our mini catalyst grants.

These grants support individuals and small nonprofit leaders who have a Give Back Dream: a focused project designed to address a community need, uplift others, or create meaningful change.

The projects may be different, but the foundation is the same. Each one begins with love, purpose, and a desire to serve.

A small grant can help purchase supplies for a youth program. It can support a community event, fund equipment for a creative project, or give a grassroots leader the resources needed to move an idea forward.

The amount may seem small, but the ripple effect can be significant.

When one project is funded, more than a single person benefits. Families are supported. Stories are shared. Communities become stronger. New relationships are formed, and other people begin to believe that they can make a difference too.

That is why small grants matter.

They remove some of the barriers that prevent good ideas from becoming real. They tell community leaders that their vision is valuable. They create a path forward for people who may have the passion to serve but lack the funding to begin.

At Let’s Choose Love, we also understand that funding alone is not always enough. That is why our grants are paired with coaching, connection, and encouragement. We want grantees to feel supported as they develop their projects, navigate challenges, and move closer to their goals.

To date, Let’s Choose Love has helped fund more than 100 Give Back Dreams. Each grant represents a person who chose not to ignore a need. It represents someone who decided that love could become action.

The needs in our communities can feel overwhelming, and no single person or organization can solve everything.

But each of us can do something.

We can support one idea. We can encourage one leader. We can fund one project. We can share one story.

Small grants create opportunities for people to begin, and beginnings have the power to change everything.

That is what love in action looks like.
